Our Ultra-Rods are the safest, most rigid means of joining wing panels. There is no such thing as an indestructible wing rod..... given enough load, anything will either bend... or break. Frankly, we'd rather land with a bit extra dihedral.... rather than crash with a wing panel fluttering down in the breeze. These Nitride Hardened rods will bend before they break... unlike carbon fiber rods... or "case hardened" rods. But until they do bend, they are EXTREMELY rigid..... and you can use a significantly smaller diameter (and thus lighter weight...) for any given application. Try the 7/32" diameter rods for joining the tip panels of a 3 panel wing setup....... These rods can only be cut with a carbide cutoff disk. If you aren't sure you can cut a rod to your required length, we will be happy to cut a custom length at no charge (for the cutting....)
