Whether you are into flying in sailplane competitions, or just flying for fun, these molded urethane Jaws landing skids will protect your plane, and provide a consistent, quick stop to end your landing at a precise point. We offer these skids in both the Jaws version, which has 3/8 inch molded teeth, and the Mini-Jaws version with smaller 1/4 inch teeth. The larger teeth work well if you are landing on a grass covered surface, while the smaller Mini-Jaws teeth provide more surface contact with the ground if you are landing on dirt, gravel, or asphalt. Each style has a flat base-plate, which can be secured with a urethane type glue like Goop, Zap-a-Dap-a Goo, etc., or you can use a mechanical attachment like sheet metal screws.
